Shapee X Kloth: Promoting Sustainable Motherhood Through The Trade-In Bra Program
KLOTH Malaysia is a Malaysian social enterprise established in 2013 that focuses on reducing textile and plastic waste through a circular economy approach. The organization is dedicated to keeping unwanted fabrics and plastics out of landfills by promoting recycling, reuse, and responsible consumption. Through various sustainability initiatives, KLOTH aims to create environmental awareness while empowering communities and contributing to a greener future.
In line with these sustainability efforts, Shapee partnered with KLOTH Malaysia to introduce the Trade-In Bra Program, an initiative that encourages mothers to recycle their pre-loved bras responsibly. Instead of disposing of old bras as household waste, moms can now give them a second life through textile recycling.
At every Baby Expo participated in by Shapee, customers are invited to bring their old bras, regardless of the brand, design, or condition, and place them in the dedicated Shapee x KLOTH recycling box. The process is simple: participants scan the QR code to complete the registration form, drop off their pre-loved bras, and choose a new Shapee Nursing Bra.
As a token of appreciation for supporting sustainable practices, participants receive an instant RM25 savings when purchasing a new Shapee Nursing Bra. This initiative not only helps reduce textile waste but also provides mothers with the opportunity to replace worn-out bras with better support, comfort, and functionality during their breastfeeding journey.
The collaboration between Shapee and KLOTH reflects a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being. By encouraging responsible textile recycling and promoting sustainable motherhood, the Bra Trade-In Program empowers mothers to make a positive impact on both their daily lives and the environment.
